Second single lifted from their debut album, The Age of the Understatement, includes two non-LP tracks, 'Hang the Cyst' and 'Gas Dance'. Collaboration between the all-conquering Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner and pal Miles Kane from cosmic Scousers, The Rascals. The pair met when Kane's previous outfit, The Little Flames, toured with the Arctic Monkeys, he had also contributed to the Sheffield act's second album FAVOURITE WORST NIGHTMARE (2007). The Last Shadow Puppets atmospheric string-laden debut THE AGE OF THE UNDERSTATEMENT (2008) was clearly influenced by Scott Walker's early solo works, and gave Turner his third UK number one abum in just over years.
