The Best Of Both Worlds-Van Halen专辑介绍
「The Best Of Both Worlds」是范海伦合唱团2004年推出的两张一套精选共收录36首歌，其中3首"It`s About Time"、"Up For Breakfast"、"Learning To See"是乐团最新录音作品，其馀33首歌皆选自1978-95年间推出的11张专辑。
精选辑第一首安排的"Eruption"虽只有短短一分多钟且非进榜单曲，但就是首张处女作中的此曲震惊了所有乐迷，Eddie快速而缀音连连的超高吉他技巧加上俊俏的外型使他一跃成为新一代吉他英雄之一。由于首张专辑至今已销售10倍白金、意义重大，所以从其中共有5首歌收录在精选中，"You Really Got Me"是单曲之一，也是The Kinks的老歌新唱。
范海伦合唱团第二张专辑裡的单曲"Dance The Night Away"打入单曲榜前20名，才算是在流行乐坛的重大突破。进入八○年代的两张专辑"Women And Children First"及"Fair Warning"却未再延续单曲上的成绩，直到1982年第五张专辑「Diver Down」。其中进榜的两首单曲都是老歌新唱，一首是Roy Orbison的"（Oh）Pretty Woman"；另一首则属于摩城唱片旗下的女子团Martha & The Vandellas畅销曲"Dancing In The Street"。
Van Halen rocketed to stardom with their raucous, 10X-platinum-plus 1978 self-titled album, one of the greatest debuts ever.
