Been highly waiting for this one! Rotten sound truly is the best grindcore act active at the moment! Taking after Nasum, Rotten Sound mix grindcore asthetics with some vicious death metal riffs and structures, making their music pretty wicked. You have some seriously grindcore bombs like Superior, Machinery and Power. And then, you also have some killer, stomping death metal influence like on Hollow (with its wicked punk attitude), Ritual, Declare, Exploit and Doomed.

So bottom line is: Rotten Sound is still going very strong. Grindcore can be such a silly, pointless and goofy genre when it's nothing but bullshit and nonsensical stuff like Waco Jesus or Meat Shits. Then again, it can also be a great genre when you have acts that actually play their instruments and have something to say, like Napalm Death, Nasum or yes, like Rotten Sound. Definitely a must for fans of the genre in 2011!
