Limerence

The record starts out with familiar material; the initial two tracks — “Disconnected” and “Summer Days” — are previously released singles that fans have had to tide them over until the release of the new LP. Moving deeper into the album, “Day Dreamer” sets a nostalgic, ’70s-inspired mood for the rest of Limerence. Cymbal-heavy waves of percussion build anticipation while melodious harmonies float throughout the idyllic track. “All Along” highlights Darian Zahedi’s ability to encompass a Smiths-like sound before leading into “On and On,” which showcases his vocal range.
