Love Is Where The Smoke Is

The LP was recorded and produced by singer/pianist/beatmaker Jamie Fooks (a.k.a. Jane Vain) in her Calgary basement apartment over the course of this year, as she explained to ChartAttack in June. Guitarist Dillon Whitfield of Raccoon assisted in recording, and the band have now grown to become a permanent four-piece with the addition of bassist Britt Proulx and drummer Jzero Schuurman. The result of their works is a dark pop record full of layered instrumentation and electronic beats backing Fooks' ethereal voice.
