If you're one who takes to bright, catchy indie-pop, then get excited, because we've a new effort from Los Angeles five-piece WALLA that has some seriously massive appeal. We first posted the group when they were exporting retro-sounding pop back in 2012, and though they displayed huge potential, we didn't really think they were necessarily hitting their stride by any means. However, that's all about to change, because their new single, "101", could easily boost these guys to stardom.

Straightforwardly, the song is a seamless work of peppy, upbeat indie-pop. From the optimistic synth and guitar melodies, to the euphoric chorus, "101" has everything a track needs to hit it big, but what's more important to us than its radio potential is the song's creative and stylistic aspects such as the tropical percussion a little over two minutes in.

Though we don't particularly enjoy many radio hits, this is the type of track that—if it did rise to such levels—we'd have no qualms playing over and over and over again. It might be best to jump on the new single now, then, because you just might be able to say that you heard it before it got big.
