마샬의 첫 EP 앨범 "breathe"는 음악을 사랑하는 아티스트로서 처음 맺는 작은 결실이다.

이번 앨범에서 마샬은 가장 좋아하는 사람들과 함께 앨범을 만들 수 있었던 것을 가장 큰 행운으로 생각하고, 뛰어난 재능을 가진 작곡가, 프로듀서, 아티스트들과 작업하며 앨범을 만들면서 한 단계 더 성장하며 다음 앨범을 더욱 기대하게 만들었다.

앨범 작업을 끝마치며 마샬은 만들면서 자신이 느꼈던 즐거운 감정들을 앨범을 듣는 모든 분들이 느낄 수 있기를 바란다고 말했다고 한다.

각각의 노래는 사랑, 신앙, 관능, 사회적 압박, 외로움과 같은 여러 측면의 다른 시선에 대해 이야기하며, 그 목적을 알기 위한 투쟁이 어떻게 그려지는지에 대해 설명하고 있다.

The 'breathe' EP is a work of love that is a small culmination of me as an artist. I was blessed to work with some of my favorite people in the world who also happen to be some of the most talented songwriters, producers and artists; who inspired me to bring out new parts of my artistry. Each song hits a different point of the many facets of MRSHLL - love, religion, sensuality, societal pressures, loneliness; and how the struggle to figure out our purpose can be a journey.
