Devil You're A Liar

Buff Roshi's debut release features layers of found sounds, cinematic themes, cool processed beats, experimental guitar, with an innate jazzy sensibility. The album contains nine tripped out originals and two covers... Pink Floyd's Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun, and an old Julie London b-side, Dark, featuring vocals by singer-filmmaker Renee Wilson, who appeared as one of the Raylettes in the Academy Award winning film, Ray. Devil You're a Liar marks the first release from the new Cephalophone Music electronica label. The album, featuring cover art by celebrated L.A. guerrilla poster artist Robbie Conal is the product of a long term studio collaboration between film composer and founding member of the Peter Gabriel discovered eighties band, Vivabeat, Mick Muhlfriedel and experimental guitarist G.E. Stinson who counts Buff Roshi amongst several band projects he is part of, including one with Nels Cline, and two experimental outfits, Sleepr Wave and Coded Source.
