The Opus Orange EP was recorded over the summer of 2010 at Emoto Music in Santa Monica. At first listen, the ukulele finds a new home in Opus Orange's brand of indie-pop. It’s after the second or third spin that you begin to appreciate the deft percussion, Mingus-loving bass, sweet and sprinkled guitar, subtle Rhodes, and yes . . . a toy piano. With recent placements in TV spots for Apple’s iPhone, AT&T and Buick, the early word is that Opus Orange has a few fans. Opus Orange plans to release a full length record in Summer 2011.
