We gladly welcome Chinese producer Melchi, who comes forth with a cultural EP that characterizes Asian history with vibrant musical ballads.

Mongolian militia commander Gada Meilin (also known as Gada Meiren) led a revolt against Manchurian imperialists and colonization. Though unsuccessful, he instilled hope in the hearts of his countrymen, and poems have depicted him as a hero for having taking a stance against his people’s oppressors.

Melchi begins this epic odyssey with an audible image of fertile grasslands that saturate a beautifully sculpted Shar Mörön river valley, wherein lies a cluster of red painted mountains beneath the early morning sun. Purely reflective and emotional, emphasized by delicate notes and melodic arpeggiated builds, that give this track a very atmospheric texture, “Gadan Meilin” overlooks the serene landscape from his peaceful eternity above.

The more upbeat “Great Wall” is yet another melodic delicacy that intrinsically connects music with the spirit. Cap-ti-va-ting! Turn the pages of history with each arpeggiated chord, ethereal pad, invigorating kick-clap combo, and all the mesmerizing values that seem to outfit the listener with wings. Take flight and soar above the wondrous Great Wall that majestically stretches for thousands of miles, and enjoy the dynastic achievement of the Ancient Chinese civilization, one of the Seven Wonders of the world.
