Shifting Gier

Ouïe Circle - the new sub-label of Ouïe, drops its second release via label head and co-founder Acid Pauli. Ouïe Circle provides a playground for new talents and an outlet for more experimental music from established artists. The Shifting Gier EP (wordplay alert with ‘Gier’ being the German word for greed) is a three tracker, each with its own distinct mood and character. The title track is a meditative, subtle groover that seems to grow deeper and more intimate throughout its 8 minutes. 'Gierporn' has a more synthy, modular vibe, bubbling away over the surface of a mid-tempo kick. It’s warm, wonky and expansive. 'Wer giert verliert' (roughly translated as ‘the greedy lose’) is the most upfront dancefloor track, with a thick low kick and nervy, skittish percussion and a hypotonic melody.
