Sonances / Sonanze & Otherworks (Digitally Remastered at Abbey Road Studios, London 2000)-Roberto Cacciapaglia专辑介绍
"The need to write on the cover of this album does not mean a need to “explain it”, also because it would be both a utopian and senseless task, but rather to help individuate its difficult collocation and clarify its origin and aspirations. The first concrete contact, I believe, is in the title, “Sonanze”, indicative, in my opinion, of a work that finds itself at the crossroads of two musical structures: one (ASSONANCE, harmony, tonality) usually dictated by sensibility; the other (DISSONANCE, atonality, destructive force of the traditional classical structures), very useful “in its time”. I say in its time because I think that so-called “modern” music has undergone an aging process and Sonances of nonsense and that now that it has become “traditional”, it challenges the too great atonality, the too many aesthetic and discriminatory problems for a subject that should be liberally taken and manipulated to maximize the intensity of the creative process. Beyond technicality, the only real obstacle to the relationship is between listener and author."
Unique cosmic electronics meets contemporary classical work, produced by Ohr / Kosmische Musik boss Rolf-Ulrich Kaiser. An imaginative and creative album in every way except that the original release is totally devoid of track titles. This makes for a weird listing here on Discogs! The CD reissue retitled these as "Movements".
