The Pigeon Detectives 在这几年的英伦流行乐界，复古范儿的乐队似乎有乱花渐欲迷人眼的趋势，想从一大批乐队当中脱颖而出并不容易。The Pigeon Detectives就是其中之一，虽然他们的音乐风格算不上独树一帜，但复古的音色和较好的旋律为他们赢得了相当数量的歌迷。和那些加入舞曲元素的乐队不同，The Pigeon Detectives还是以原始的几大件为主。这张《Emergency》基本继承了The Pigeon Detectives一年前的处子作《Wait For Me》的优点，编曲细致，旋律上口，曲风也算得上是多样化，既有《I'm Not Gonna Take This》、《Keep On Your Dress》和《She's Gone》这类相对旋律摇滚化的曲目，又有《Nothing To Do With You》这种木琴柔歌。可以说，The Pigeon Detectives平稳的度过了所谓的“第二张专辑疲软期”。
