This Ending

2021 sees THIS ENDING returning with a true melodic death metal masterpiece called “Needles of Rust”. After drummer Fredrik Andersson´s (ex-AMON AMARTH, A CANOROUS QUINTET, NETHERBIRD) departure from the band, the decision was to continue as a quartet for the album. Replacing Fredrik behind the drums is the guitar player Peter Nagy, who´s also a drummer in several other projects such as the black metal act MÖRK GRYNING. The result was nine songs of Apocalyptic, Brutal yet Catchy melodic death metal back to the roots of what was done earlier in A CANOROUS QUINTET. “Needles of rust” was recorded, mixed and mastered at Wing Studios by Sverker Widgren, who´s well known in the scene with records from bands such as DIABOLICAL, WORMWOOD, DEMONICAL, WATAIN etc. To give the album cover the necessary atmosphere Björn Gooses of Killustration was hired once again (as on the previous album “Garden of Death”) to take care of the artwork and layout.
