Arthemis

Alessio Garavello was born on the 15th of June 1981. He started very early to play the clarinet for 5 years. It was 1995 when he first embraced the guitar listening to the Megadeth album Youthanasia. Impressed and amazed by the rythym guitars he started to learn how to play heavy rythym stuff from the lessons written by James Hetfield, Dave Mustaine, Eric Peterson. He began to sing in 1996 and he started his vocal study in 2001 with Gastone Baratella. Then he decided to change vocal style following the path of Michele Luppi. Alessio has recorded nowadays several albums with Arthemis, Power Quest and Ground Control and he collaborates in sinergy with great italian musician creating different musical projects. Alessio works actively with "Accademia Musicale Lizard".  Andrea Martongelli - Guitar  Italian talented guitarist and songwriter, Andrea Martongelli belongs to the Hard Rock / Heavy Metal world since 1994, when the band ìArthemisî starts its career. His creative process and technical approach keeps changing and evolving during the years making his awesome guitar riffing and soloing more personal and unique; for many fans a real trademark.  From 1999 to nowadays Andrea has recorded with his great bands "ARTHEMIS" and "POWER QUEST" and other projects (KILLER KLOWN, FEAR OF FOURS, BAD FAITH etc), several amazing Heavy Metal albums, touring around the World and establishing himself as an eclectic musician with great stage attitude. With instructional DVDs, books and cds, collaboration with guitar magazines, recording studios, music schools (Accademia Musicale "Lizard" Brescia), guitar clinics and workshops, Andrea is a very productive musician and shows a great capacity to display different musical and guitar styles continuing his mission with new tours and recordings that inspire fans around the world.  Paolo Perazzani - Drums  Paolo was born on the 8th of February 1978. He started playing drums at the age of 14 influenced by the thrash metal scene of the late 80's (Metallica and Anthrax overall). He joined Nemesis, the first nucleus of the band, together with A. Martongelli and M. Galbier when he was only 16 years old. After a couple of years in the band he left in order to explorate other music styles and languages just to get back in the band later to play metal again!!!!  His favourite drummers are (in no particular order): Simon Phillips, Lars Ulrich, Charlie Benante, Mike Portnoy, Gene Hoglan, Dave Lombardo. Paolo is also working as drum teacher in a musical school in Italy.  Matteo Galbier - Bass  Matteo Galbier began playing bass guitar at the age of 16 after listening to AC/DC, Metallica, Skid Row, Pantera...and then joined the first Arthemis line-up, playing cover of thrash and power metal bands and own songs. Through the years he spread his musical interests and listenings to several kinds of music so now his playing style is an unique blend of rock, funk, blues and heavy metal influences, from solid ground-shaking rhythm patterns to screaming solo parts!!!  He has recorded five full-length albums (worldwide distributed) with Arthemis, touring everywhere in Italy and Europe and sharing stages with bands like Anthrax, Slayer, Malmsteen, Lacuna Coil, Ian Paice, Glenn Hughes and many more. Although Arthemis has been and still remain his main band, during the years he has played with many other musicians in various bands; now he plays also in a hard rock band called Woodrock and a funk band called Roller Coaster.
