Marco Caricola

Marco Caricola is an Italian composer based in London, UK. Surrounded by music since his early age, he has developed a unique style blending elements from different influences ranging from romantic era to modern electronica. These colours merge to create musical architectures built on repeated piano patterns, fragile strings harmonies and ambient soundscapes, resulting in a highly emotional cinematic experience. Indeed, since 2013 Marco has been providing music for a number of independent films, documentaries and dance companies' productions. During the same year, under his side moniker Mote, he has also released the five songs EP Frames on the Australian label Twice Removed Records: the record has been well received by critics and highlighted as one of the most interesting debuts of the season. After that, Marco focused on music for films while regularly collaborating on original pieces and remixes with Glanko, promising electronic producer and long time friend. 2015 holds a number of news and expectations for this young composer, who is now regularly receiving soundtracks/reworks commissions and working on a live performance setup with which he will debut in Shoreditch at the end of May.
