The Statler Brothers 正宗美国乡村音乐成立于1955年 维吉尼亚 Staunton（斯汤敦） 起先他们在地方教会表演福音歌曲，1963年招贴广告上介绍他们像"The Four Stars"一样，后来叫"The Kingsmen".当一支也叫The Kingsmen 的车库摇滚乐队唱了"Louie, Louie"迅速非常出名之后，他们中没人叫"Statler"这个姓名，当时看见了“Statler”牌子的卫生纸，决定叫The Statler Brothers
