Birocratic

Birocratic, born Brandon Rowan, is a 26-year-old producer in Brooklyn, New York. Originally trained in piano, Biro eventually taught himself guitar, bass, and drums and began multitrack recording in his own garage. His early passion for engineering, combined with his taste for funk and jazz fusion, ultimately led him to explore the underpinnings of hip-hop production. From there, Birocratic generated buzz for his trippy sample-chopping, melodic basslines, and energetic drum programming. 
 He teamed up with Chillhop Records in 2015 to build out a record label which now visibly represents the subgenre of beat-scene inspired music - online and around the world. He has toured extensively with a wide variety of artists, most notably opening for Big Gigantic at Red Rocks in 2019. Support tours as a solo act have taken him across the US with artists & DJs Yung Bae, Too Many Zooz, Robotaki, The Floozies, and Flamingosis. As a bassist, Biro has performed live sets with members of the Pretty Lights Live band and Break Science.
