[00:00.59]Good morning everyone and welcome to the English for Academic Purpose Center. [00:06.28]I'd like to begin by briefly introducing the services we offer here at our center. [00:12.11]First of all, we have wide range of language courses. [00:16.71]In the first semester, we run an eight-week conversation class for students of non-English speaking backgrounds. [00:24.59]We wish to improve their fluency, grammar and pronunciation in English. [00:30.62]The course is held on Tuesdays between 12:30 and 1:30. [00:36.19]So that's one hour once a week. Please enrol with the secretary before Friday this week. [00:42.81]For those of you who are interested in developing your writing skills, [00:47.62]we have a six-week course which runs for two hours between four and six on Wednesday afternoons, beginning in Week One. [00:56.64]They concentrate on the writing skills needed for assignments in the departments of economics and social sciences. [01:04.97]Students must be enrolled in either of these departments. [01:09.36]You probably not thinking about taking examinations yet. [01:13.61]But later on, towards the end of the term, you might like to enrol in our examination skills class. [01:20.84]The course runs for five weeks, and two hours in a week. [01:25.78]The course deals with the skills you need, in both written tests and oral examinations. [01:32.38]It is not necessary to enrol before the course starts. [01:36.69]Just turn up for the first class.
