我从来不认为第二季比第一季差，不是因为这首歌，只是觉得影视作品对人性的刻画不再需要那样庞杂的理由。或许，第二季就算没有一季的烘托，它也敢不再认同观众的剧情取向，摔在我们脸上的刻骨铭心的黑暗与伤痛，就是唤醒人们对于真相的觉知。

看第二季经历了从无趣到惊喜到无比伤心的过程，黑暗得不能更黑暗，现实得不能更现实，马修叔说光明会获胜，我只看到黑暗中挣扎求生的灵魂，我只看到聚光灯下舞蹈的邪恶，所有的爱、利他和苦苦支撑都被践踏，土地下埋有尸骨和良心。而毒蛇和罂粟以此为养料。
第二季简直是完美悲剧，郑重而干脆，惨淡又优雅，充满绝望却隐含希望。无人不冤有情皆孽，善良是祸根，希望是黑暗前夜的幻觉，执念是生活之光也是陨身之源。无辜者的鲜血如雨瓢泼，肉食者推杯换盏仍是歌舞升平，空洞的钢铁森林如命运之眼，静静凝视这一切。
半夜听着，弗兰克最后也倒下，能与黑暗对抗的男人都倒下了。奎尔所说的光明获胜了，我又怎能相信。
