托尼亚哈丁是美国花样滑冰选手，世锦赛冠军。全美第一个跳出三周半的女人。94年被指控和前夫合谋敲碎对手的膝盖 遭到终身竞赛。今年由玛格特罗比 塞巴斯蒂安斯坦 艾莉森珍妮出演的《我，托尼亚》上映 。舒肤佳是哈丁的粉丝，这首歌想送给《我，托尼亚》剧组使用，但剧组认为不太合适，拒绝了。
补充：理解这首歌的关键，在于整个事件的争议性。根据唐亚08年的自传，她当初由于性情暴戾的前男友的rape以及死亡威胁，所以不敢向FBI陈述实情。Sufjan对唐亚持赞赏的态度，因为她贫苦的出身，来自母亲的虐待，不幸的婚姻，没有成为她不懈努力，成为体育明星的障碍。
