Heat Wave是一首現代情歌。我們通常是為自己而活-工作、形象、自我發展。但是，這讓我們沒有多少時間和精力去關注他人，結果是我們與他人和人性的疏離。在歌曲的過程中，歌者沉思著她對另一個人（自我）的單相思，她追逐的是個人的新奇而不是愛情。歌者最終選擇了為她的人性而活，並尋求深層的浪漫聯繫
意境真的很好，很用心，give it up和我的理解差不多，不过从升调和全专情感来看，这更像Snail Mail的自我释怀，放下一段没有结果的单相思。还有希望意译成分减少一点比如Swirl in the white evening sun。不过总体是很好的，谢谢你！
