短短几个月的时间内，OK Go便在尚未有任何专辑问世的情况下得到传媒的高度瞩目，这完全要归功于该团密集的演出(包括为Elliott Smith等暖场)以及活力十足的现场台风；甚至不仅National Public Radio名主持人Ira Glass与Gretchen Helfrich对他们青睐有加，就连传奇独立乐团They Might Be Giants鬼才主脑John Flansburgh也看上该团潜力而出任经纪人。独立发表两首单曲后，OK Go于2001年四月签入主流大厂Capitol旗下，并在一年多后祭首张同名录音室专辑OK Go。
