His 2019 soundtrack for Outer Wilds received 4 Best Original Score nominations (BAFTA, SXSW, Golden Joystick Awards, Jerry Goldsmith Awards), two GANG nominations (Best Indie Game Music and Best Interactive Score), as well as 2 Best Game Music wins (Giant Bomb and OnlySinglePlayer Awards). The soundtrack, which SPIN Magazine stated ‘took sci-fi music where it’s never gone before,’ has gained a cult following. Andrew’s goal to not only create a soundtrack that wraps the player into the game’s world, but to craft it into a stand-alone album that is an extension of the heart of the game, stands the test of time 3 years after release by generating millions of plays a month, hundreds of fan created cover songs, and a vinyl which sold out within hours. In 2021, Andrew composed the expansion to the new Outer Wilds adventure, Echoes of the Eye, which hit over 1 million streams during its release month. It was nominated for three GANG awards (Creative and Technical Achievement in Music, Best Music for an Indie Game, and Best Main Theme), with a win for Best Music for an Indie Game. He also recently co-composed the track Reach The Sky for Disney’s 2021 Epcot Entrance Soundtrack with Mark Petrie. Other additional highlights include writing an arrangement of ‘Be Our Guest’ for the 2017 Oscars Beauty and the Beast spot, composing ambient soundscapes for the Madden NFL franchise (2015), and composing the score to 2017 Mobile VR Game of the Year, Eclipse: Edge of Light. Andrew and electronic artist Luminist’s dual soundtrack to Atone: Heart of the Elder Tree was shortlisted among Apple’s Best Audio of 2020. He also has written for many trailer campaigns including Star Wars, Blade Runner 2049, and Star Trek. Released January 1st, 2022, his latest single, Feeling Everything but Lost, is currently featured on Spotify’s Ambient Post-Rock and Ambiente official playlists.
