他以这首歌作为开头曲，就是想告诉听众“一万小时定律”，就是想让大家知道成功不易，要厚积薄发，不能浮躁于世。
2017年才注意到macklemore这个人，结果一搜索，原来之前听到的很多大热歌曲都是他的歌，但是最另我意外的是他歌曲里传达的信息，和他独立创作不依靠大牌公司的态度，这才是最难得，也最另我尊敬和喜欢的部分，有社会责任感，信息正面，而且不是靠外貌[吐舌]，喜欢他，也喜欢这个曾经的组合。

这首歌陪我了三年，从高一到高三，尽管还是这么冷清，但每每聆听这首歌曲都有一种莫名强大的力量支持着我。如今即将高考，正如这首歌一样，十年磨一剑，来吧来吧，少年心事当拿云[大笑]
一万小时定律是作家格拉德威尔在《异类》一书中指出的定律。“人们眼中的天才之所以卓越非凡，并非天资超人一等，而是付出了持续不断的努力。1万小时的锤炼是任何人从平凡变成世界级大师的必要条件。”他将此称为“一万小时定律”。
