Young
[00:01.11]Artist:neil young
[00:01.92]Songs Title:thrasher
[00:34.92]They were hiding behind hay bales
[00:38.92]They were planting in the full moon
[00:42.60]They had given all they had for something new
[00:50.48]But the light of day was on them
[00:54.48]They could see the thrashers coming
[00:58.54]And the water shone like diamonds in the dew.
[01:08.17]And I was just getting up hit the road before its light
[01:15.48]Trying to catch an hour on the sun
[01:22.54]When I saw those thrashers rolling by
[01:26.54]Looking more than two lanes wide
[01:30.54]I was feelin like my day had just begun.
[01:38.54]Where the eagle glides ascending
[01:42.36]Theres an ancient river bending
[01:46.36]Through the timeless gorge of changes
[01:50.45]Where sleeplessness awaits
[01:54.51]I searched out my companions
[01:58.51]Who were lost in crystal canyons
[02:01.89]When the aimless blade of science
[02:06.20]Slashed the pearly gates.
[02:10.39]It was then I knew Id had enough
[02:14.16]Burned my credit card for fuel
[02:18.92]Headed out to where the pavement turns to sand
[02:26.61]With a one-way ticket to the land of truth
[02:30.04]And my suitcase in my hand
[02:33.98]How I lost my friends I still dont understand.
[02:42.61]They had the best selection
[02:46.23]They were poisoned with protection
[02:49.95]There was nothing that they needed
[02:54.33]Nothing left to find
[02:57.64]They were lost in rock formations
[03:01.58]Or became park bench mutations
[03:05.57]On the sidewalks and in the stations
[03:09.33]They were waiting waiting.
[03:14.70]So I got bored and left them there
[03:17.51]They were just deadweight to me
[03:22.39]Better down the road without that load
[03:30.32]Brings back the time when I was eight or nine
[03:33.14]I was watchin my mamas t.v.
[03:37.39]It was that great grand canyon rescue episode.
[03:40.83] [03:44.89]Where the vulture glides descending
[03:49.15]On an asphalt highway bending
[03:53.02]Thru libraries and museums galaxies and stars
[04:00.86]Down the windy halls of friendship
[04:04.49]To the rose clipped by the bullwhip
[04:08.86]The motel of lost companions
[04:10.61]Waits with heated pool and bar.
[04:17.86]But me Im not stopping there
[04:20.67]Got my own row left to hoe
[04:25.55]Just another line in the field of time
[04:33.43]When the thrashers comes Ill be stuck in the sun
[04:36.68]Like the dinosaurs in shrines
[04:40.55]But Ill know the time has come
[04:43.67]To give whats mine.
[00:38.92]They were planting in the full moon
[00:42.60]They had given all they had for something new

Thrasher (2016 Remaster)-Neil Young & Crazy Horse
