最初以德语版本诞生，后经Brightman与Sophie B. Hawkins等人将英文版本与法语翻译相互补充，最终形成专辑版表达。主题上讨论的是情感的放手与从失恋中“重获自由”的心理过程。音乐上融入氛围音乐、电子合成器与弦乐的铺陈，在后半段Nigel Kennedy的小提琴出现，为全曲增加了古典演奏的强烈情感注脚。
