歌曲为意大利斯洛維尼亞民歌（“Bella Ciao”是种有趣的表达方式，意大利男人大街上遇到闲逛的漂亮姑娘时通常用这句话来打招呼。意思是“你好，美女！”或分别时为“姑娘，再见！”）。二战期间歌曲在意大利游擊隊中广为传唱，成了游擊隊員之歌。现在是无政府主义者的赞歌，如同国际歌相对于共产主义。
去年看意共老游击队员去世一群人举着镰刀锤子高唱，然后在教堂遗体告别仪式上老神甫也唱了起来，当时莫名的悲伤
Bella Ciao，二战时期意大利游击队中的一首歌曲，被翻译成过许多不同的版本，对于中国人来说更熟悉的是朋友再见。这个Chumbawamba乐队演唱的英文版本与其他Chumbawamba的歌曲一样，表达了他们的无政府主义和国际主义倾向，也十分符合首歌作为游击队赞歌的身份（歌词翻译是我制作的）
