[00:21.00]But in other places, art is not considered to be separate from everyday existence. [00:26.69]It has a function. [00:28.13]It has a practical role to play in people's lives. [00:31.66]A person in a tribal society might look at a mask and say, [00:35.88]"Oh, this is a good mask, it will keep my house safe." [00:39.36]In brief, the way in which people enjoy or appreciate art depends on their culture. [00:45.32]To conclude my lecture, we can say that art is a reflection of various cultures. [00:50.74]But at the same time, [00:52.29]we have to remember that art also reflects the changes in society [00:56.69]that take place when different cultures influence one another.
