Star Shaped被称为damon的作词巅峰之一，概念源自Kurt Vonnegut的小说《冠军早餐(Breakfast Of Champions)》，小说中有一张插图为一群躺下的人组成的星形，而冠军早餐的俚语意义为早餐喝酒，进一步引申为麻木不仁、得过且过的人，歌曲的Star Shaped即“insensible/unconscious man”之意
