《Winter》是Tori Amos写给病中父亲的深情对话。在祖母那座充满压抑的农场上，父亲对她说出关键一句："Tori Ellen，你何时才肯承认自己对自己而言已足够好？"这句话成为照亮自我认同的曙光。

第一遍副歌的弦乐其实已经在造势，然后被my dear压下去，更加营造若即若离的焦灼感，随着后面的唱段起起伏伏再往上蓄积情绪，最后爆发，但等来的不是温暖，而是漫天大雪掩盖了一切，结尾的静谧与怅然若失也就合情合理。
