后天，四月十一号，是国际性的，但似乎没有多少地方过的国际Louie Louie日。Louie Louie自1957年Richard Berry发行首个版本以来，至今已经有1600多个翻唱版本（Yesterday有2200多个），其中the Kingsmen的是最广为人知，也是最臭名昭著的一个版本。
这首歌引起了FBI局长埃德加·胡佛的注意，他纠集了一些专家，花了两年半的时间和不知多少纳税人的钱整天听这首歌，最后一无所获，这是胡佛干过愚蠢的事中最愚蠢的一件。因为有了这段传奇，《路易·路易》在后来被翻唱了一千多次，理查德·贝里为此收到了200万美元的版税。

渐渐在中学生中间流传时，人们开始用自己的想像来理解这首歌词了，于是谣言的传播像滚雪球一样膨胀，说歌词根本不是水手歌谣，而是一首淫秽歌曲，并且，只有用45转的速度播放才能听出他们这张33转唱片的歌词。根据当时的逻辑，“如果不能说清歌词的含义，那么里面一定隐藏着什么东西”。
转：60年代审查制度最大冤狱非“路易·路易事件”莫属了。1963年，美国波特兰市一支名叫“金斯曼”(the Kingsmen)的乐队演唱了一首名叫《路易·路易》(Louie Louie)的歌，这首歌是一个名叫理查德·贝里的人写于1955年，
“路易·路易事件”是对当时神经过敏的美国当局最有力的讽刺
