父亲为国而死，倒在安吉尔的桥头堡上。至高无上的国王啊，你会在意吗？在履带下，我们蝼蚁般的灵魂，不过只是信封上的橡皮印罢了。而卷轴关上的那一刻，既是无尽羞愧的开始，也是无尽羞愧的终结。
这也是The Wall弃曲。吉默录制这张专辑时的状态，可想而知，非常不解和愤怒：“如果他们对于The Wall来说不够好，为什么现在对于The Final Cut就可以了呢？”
这张专辑也许是pink专辑里音乐性最差的一张专辑，甚至是不连贯的，却是最愤怒又最悲伤的一张专辑，水爷的个人情感是自负、膨胀而又宏大、旺盛的。
普京大帝一声令下，俄罗斯就可以夺得他们想要的土地，而代价仅仅是几千人的死亡和几百万人的流离失所。
这首歌背后的背后的故事: 1944年2月17日清晨，安齐奥战役中，水爷父亲埃里克·弗莱彻·沃特斯所在的皇家燧发枪团第8营Z连遭受德军6个步兵营的攻击（有第508重装甲营的虎式坦克配合），水爷父亲则在当天阵亡；到了18日早上，Z连除连长哈里·威瑟里奇上尉和仅剩的几人被俘，其余全员阵亡
