[00:00.00]Well, I see from your resume, Miss Green, that you studied at University College. [00:05.87]How did you find it there? [00:07.80]I had a great time. [00:09.73]The teaching there was good and I made a lot of friends. [00:14.12]The Psychology Department was a great place to be. [00:18.01]How come you chose psychology? [00:20.54]Well, at first, I didn't have any clear idea of what I wanted to do after university. [00:27.77]I guess I've just always been interested in people and the way they act. [00:33.19]I wanted to know why people think and act the way they do. [00:37.29]It's a fascinating area. [00:39.52]And what was the course like? [00:41.97]Good. The teachers were all really nice and they had this special approach to teaching. [00:48.18]You know they didn't just give us lectures and tell us to read books like they might do in some more traditional places. [00:56.13]The whole course was based on a problem-solving approach. [00:59.76]You know they'd describe a particular situation to us and we'd discuss what might happen. [01:06.27]And after that we do some reading and see if it confirmed our own ideas. [01:11.70]That is what I liked best: the really practical orientation of the course. [01:17.52]I learnt very well with that style, so for me it was just great.
