Alfred Noyes的叙事诗,标准罗曼史主题,可怜当年翻字典一个个查单词的我啊……音乐氛围大赞,配器丰富,每升级一次耳机,都能听到新细节。McKennitt还唱过夏洛特夫人、Sally Garden,单论原作词绝对强大很多,但觉得旋律细节还是这首最带感。
古老的叙事诗, 强盗爱上了小客栈老板的女儿,但被官兵追捕,美丽的女子用自己的鲜血警示了爱人。故事满足了我们对爱情的美好想象。强盗最终折返回来,与爱人共赴黄泉,虽 然死得并不是很好看诗词华美瑰丽,安静聆听的时候一幅幅画面就浮现在眼前。爱情的玫瑰结合了死亡的军队和长剑,摄人心魄的美感。
好像身在中世纪的小酒馆里,听着吟游诗人抚琴唱着这个卑微又美丽的故事,从一开始的屏息不敢打破歌里寂静的氛围,到高潮时大家忍不住和诗人一起大唱“And back he spurred like a madman, shrieking a curse to the sky"。虽然明知道强盗会死,但每次在他调转马头的那一刻,情绪还是会被调动起来
翻译君翻译的很棒!但有两处我觉得不太妥当,landlord在这里翻译为"老板"应该比"房东"更合适,barrel在这里是"枪管"而不是"桶"啦,光看翻译还有点困惑桶去哪了[大哭],不过还是要感谢前辈优美流畅的翻译[爱心]
